Weight Loss Challenge - Class 2 Highlights: Carbs

The 2nd Weight Loss War Nutrition class went fantastic. Everybody who weighed in lost pounds! We also added two new class members into the fold. Welcome aboard!

Here are the highlights and the homework for my students:
  1. We went over the differences between "good" carbs and "bad" carbs.
  2. Discussed ways to make your favorite recipes healthier.
  3. Learned why it is important to regulate your blood sugar.
Homework: Print of week 5 and read it. Try new fruits and veggies. Stock your pantry, refrigerator and freezer with healthy foods (see list in week 4 materials)

So...something to think about: Is oatmeal a healthy breakfast?

Obesity is a problem that affects people both physically and mentally. It makes them very antisocial with no self confidence.The diets should have been called no food, no taste, and no energy. I counted calories, I counted points, and walked hundreds of miles on the treadmill.
