Deadlift 101 Workshop

Want to finally master the deadlift and build ridiculous strength and back health?

 

Then come to this workshop Saturday January 20th!

 

The Deadlift works more muscles than any other exercise, including the squat.
 
The Dead Lift is the ultimate test of raw strength and one of the most powerful strength builders for the whole body.
 
According to exercise physiologist Kevin Farley, the deadlift engages all of the major muscle groups. If you need to do one exercise, this is the one to do. The Deadlift works your lower and upper body, including your back muscles.
 
However, it is often butchered form wise and many times gets a bad rap in the fitness world. SO this workshop will help you understand how to get the most out of this movement!
 
The two stances we will cover are the Sumo stance and Conventional stance.

Depending on one’s leverage’s, you may be able to lift more in the Sumo stance compared to conventional.  That being said, you should learn both stances.

Conventional stance is the athlete builder as well as one of the the most “real life” lifts we can do.

My youth athletes learning to Deadlift:

We will take fix the classic “Bad Form” scenarios we see all the time, like the:

  • Hunch back (see picture below)
  • Squatty Deadlift
  • Bouncy Deadlift
  • Lean Back at the top finish
  • Hitting your knees on the way down (see squatty Deadlift)
  • Using running sneakers or gloves
  • Using a weight belt (YES, it is bad until you master this move!)
